Circovac® is Ceva’s vaccine against porcine circovirus type 2. It is registered for use in both piglets and sows. The vaccine is a “whole-virus” vaccine, thus inducing immunity against both ORF-1 and ORF-2. Protection is demonstrated against PCV2a, PCV2b and PCV2d.

Inactivated oil adjuvanted vaccine against porcine circovirus 2
Indications
Vaccination of sows or gilts: Passive immunization of piglets via colostrum, after administration to sows and gilts, to reduce infection & virus excretion, lesions & clinical signs caused by the porcine circovirus type 2.
Vaccination of piglets: Active immunization to reduce infection and virus excretion, lesions & clinical signs caused by the circovirus type 2.
Dosage*
One 2-mL dose by deep IM according to the following vaccination scheme:
Primary vaccination: 2 injections 3-4 weeks apart, at least 2 weeks before mating
Revaccination: One injection at each gestation, at least 2-4 weeks before farrowing
Active immunization: Vaccination of piglets: One 0.5 mL dose by deep IM in piglets 3 weeks or age or older
*Transient edema & small local reactions may occur

One box contains 1 vial of suspension plus 1 vial of emulsion for reconstitution to make 25 sow doses (2 mL/ds) or 100 piglet doses (0.5 ml/ds)
