Ceva Animal Health played a pivotal role at the 6th World Veterinary Poultry Association (WVPA) Asia Meeting, held on October 17-18, 2024, at the Manila Marriott Hotel in Pasay City, Metro Manila, Philippines. The event, themed “Strengthening Poultry Health: Enhancing Preparedness for Disease Emergencies,” gathered over 500 practitioners from across the Asia Pacific region.

Dr. Marcelo Paniago, Ceva APAC Director of Veterinary Services, delivered an insightful plenary presentation titled “In-Depth Epidemiological Assessment of Infectious Poultry Diseases Across Asia,” providing a comprehensive overview of the current epidemiological landscape and highlighting key strategies for managing infectious diseases in poultry. Additionally, Dr. Jay F. Peria, Ceva Philippines’ National Veterinary Services Manager, presented on “Infectious Bronchitis: Philippine Epidemiological Profile and Prevention Strategies” during a break-out session, focusing on the specific challenges and solutions related to Infectious Bronchitis in the Philippines.

Ceva Indonesia, led by Dr. Tommy Nazar Eko Putra, sent delegates from top customers to participate in the event, showcasing their commitment to poultry health. Ceva Thailand presented two abstracts: one on the comparative performance of a fowlpox-vectored ILT and a conventional live ILT vaccine in broiler breeders, and another on the field monitoring of two IBD vaccination programs in commercial broilers in Thailand.
The two-day event featured numerous learning sessions covering topics such as Poultry Health & Diseases, Food Safety, Epidemiology, Nutrition, and Antimicrobial Resistance. This gathering provided a platform for knowledge exchange and networking among professionals dedicated to advancing poultry health.
